General information:
The department of international cooperation was founded in 1995. Its work enables students to get practical experience in countries with well-developed agricultural system, gives the opportunity of practicing at the world's leading universities for teachers. The department also organizes and coordinates international scientific projects. Great attention is paid to the language training of students, assistants and teachers, so the courses of learning foreign languages are set up within the chair of foreign languages (English, German, French, and Polish). We also plan to develop and broaden the system of foreign language courses.
The number of educational and scientific programs with the countries of Western Europe and North America was increased in the last years. Practicing on the best farms of these countries gives a chance to get a great experience in agriculture, to prepare diploma projects in the form of business plans and, generally, to broaden your outlook. More than 3500 students have already practiced in Western Europe and USA.
SNAU cooperates with partners in Austria, Great Britain, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Poland, the USA, Turkey, France and others.
The foreign partners often visit Sumy NAU. For the last few months the representatives and staff managers of the different enterprises of Great Britain, Germany, Austria and Polsand were here with the purpose of student recruiting for practice.
The department offers you different programs of practices abroad, possibility to improve the language skills, to participate in the international scientific programs and projects. All of them are very interesting and prospective. You'll be able to get working experience, to increase your language level and to learn lifestyle and culture of these countries. You'll also be a representative of all Ukrainian students - the representative of our wonderful Sumy region.
The department purpose is to provide teacher and student practice of abroad, to acquire base theoretical and practical knowledge, organize teaching of young teachers and students in the universities-partners, to organize an exchange between the school pupils, which are oriented to the entering in SNAU and to extend geography of exchange, to help to have good command of foreign languages, to develop scientific co-projects and to get grants from EU. We organize professional excursions with the purpose of acquaintance with the method of teaching in the leading universities of Europe and the newest technologies in agriculture.
We work to give possibility to our colleagues to take part in the international conferences, to revise complexly and reform curricula, to maintain the collaboration with research establishments of the world.
